Geico is better

Went with Calcas over geico to save some money. Worst decision ever. Horrible claims experience. Constantly having to leave a voicemail and was 1-2 days for response. When I had Geico EVERYTHING was handled by them no questions asked I didn’t have to chase anyone down. With Calcas I’m doing ALL the leg work chasing reports, finding shops, shelling out money for rentals because nobody responds in a timely manor. Avoid this company

Claim filed 3/5/24, still no action

Claim filed 3/5/24. Repeated attempts to contact rep by repair shop to obtain estimate so work could commence unsuccessful. No voice mails or messages responded to. Finally had contact with rep on 3/19/24 approximately 11:45 CST - answered with promise to send copy of estimate to me and shop within a short time. As of 7:30 pm, still no copy of estimate received by me or shop. Needless to say, further calls have gone straight to voicemail. Repair shop has had my car for 2 weeks now and has been unable to begin repairs because of the lack of response by CalCas. As of 3/20, still no estimate and no contact from rep. Needless to say I don't think I'll be recommending this company.

California California casualty… best home auto insurance company in California

California California casualty insurance is a very trustworthy company and what I really mostly appreciate about being one of their customers, the fact that they take care of business. And their handling of all issues related to the policy is very smooth and I trust their handling of everything to ensure, things are taking care of. That’s why we have our autos and Home insured with California casualty. And I always recommend them to my friends, and everyone who is actively looking for a good insurance institution.

Why we are long time clients of California Casualty

My wife and I have been with California Casualty for nearly forty years. There is a reason for our loyalty: in all those years we have been fully satisfied with their service to us, which covers our home and all of our vehicles. Obviously, over those years there have been claims. In each case CC has treated us fairly and personally. I especially appreciate their agents and their customer service which some might appreciatively term "old school". When you call CC you will easily get to an actual person and that person will be polite, professional and knowledgable. If fair, personal service still matters to you, then you will understand why we have remained loyal to California Casualty over so many years.

Waste of time

I was shopping for new homeowner’s insurance, and decided to try California Casualty, since both my wife and I are teachers. The process started pleasantly enough, with a polite representative and a decent quote. When it came time for inspection, however, the company kept finding reasons to deny coverage. After spending two weeks and $500 on repairs, they informed me at 5:00 PM on a Friday, the day my existing insurance expired, that my coverage would be denied due to fears of black mold in a bathroom. This was despite never seeing the bathroom in person (only via photographs) and my providing them with documents from a professional test in the bathroom from less than 12 months ago showing, I kid you not, “zero mold.”

If you’re considering California Casualty, I would definitely recommend not expecting them to act in good faith, and definitely make sure you’ll pass inspection before spending any additional time or money.

As part of the routine application process a home inspection was completed. After thorough review of the home’s condition, it was determined that coverage could not be bound. The specific condition concerns identified in the inspection did not meet the Company’s underwriting standards and were communicated directly with the customer. Great service, coverage and value!

In these times in Southern California, it's really difficult to find a good insurance company that is still writing homeowners insurance. So many have restricted coverage or not writing at all. California Casualty values its clients and provides a valuable service to first responders, nurses and teachers/professors in continuing to provide homeowners policies with great coverage and at fair prices. My auto insurance is also fairly priced and with excellent coverage. If you're not with California Casualty, you should be, give them a call!

Called to report I was involved in an accident

Called to report I was involved in a backing out accident in the parking lot of a local craft store. The initial Customer Service contact was very helpful and comforting in my state of anxiety. A report was taken and was told case would be assigned to another representative. I received an email from that person within a day or two, also very helpful with information on how to proceed. When the other party's insurance contacted me, I relayed the information to my representative and she took over from there.

I have always been satisfied with California Casualty.

I really don't remember last contacting California Casualty for anything, but I will say I have been satisfied with this company since I first signed up with them many years ago. I have both automobile and homeowners insurance with California Casualty. They have always handled any questions or concerns in a prompt manner.

Worst insurance EVER !!!

Worst insurance EVER !!!! I got my truck stolen back in October 2023 so I filed a claim . November 2023 my truck was found and the WORST adjuster was assigned to my case he fails to communicate anything with me after multiple phone calls and e-mail being sent to him both by myself and my body shop he has failed to fallow up with us .we have also left multiple voice mails to his manager and she to has never reach out to us so unprofessional . It’s been 5 month and my truck has just been sitting in the body shop collecting dust due to their lack of communication and response .I have officially filed a complaint to the California department of insurance . And Initiated a DOI . There goes over 10 year of being a loyal consumer .

Whenever I have had a problem

Whenever I have had a problem, you guys have always helped me solve it. You’ve never made me feel like I was trying to get something over on you, which is a problem I have heard some of my friends talk about when they had flood damage in the basement.
